Before and After photos: Results of the Dr. Dennis Gross 14-Day Challenge

It took me a few extra days to complete the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel 14 Day Challenge product. I started on October 14 and finished on October 30.

Before
After
Sorry that I used slightly different lighting in the second one. I did one in one of my bathrooms and the other in the other bathroom.

I didn't get all of the results I hoped for. My skin seems a little brighter and firmer and I think it also looks more hydrated. I still had some breakouts happening but a little less than on Day One.

Not the dramatic results I was hoping for, but I do think look better, if only because I was consistently moisturizing day and night. I still have a little of the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic Acid + Retinol Brightening Solution to use.  I got an offer for a free sample of Kate Somerville RetAsphere with a purchase, so I decided to purchase the full size, try the sample first, and if I like it, I'll have the full size.  That way if I have a bad reaction to the sample, I can take back the product.

I'll share my review with you again, if you're interested.

  1. Looking at the lighting, and the background color, might be best bet to take pics in 2nd bathroom with the light background. I think the purple might distort/change your coloring.

I am big moisturizer girl, agree, just consistent moisturizing does wonders.

    1. I know, I wish I had done both in the room with the better lighting.

    1. These were very mild, no flaking.

    2. What I wrote came out wrong. I have had only one peel with an esthetician (also my hairdresser), and it didn't do much good. I did just as well with Skinceuticals C & E and some retinol. I can only use it occasionally, because it causes flaking that goes on for a few days. I have for years, consistently used Clinique products, and I don't have many wrinkles yet, even though I'm 68. I love their old standby moisturizer and their Turnaround Cream and Even Better. I use those most of the time. You have pretty skin anyway, but I think your skin did improve a bit with the treatment.

    3. Lucky you to have such good skin! I have never done a real peel -- my skin is very sensitive. I'd be disappointed if I spent money and had no results, like you said, or worse, had a bad result. I did pretty well with Retin-A for a while, but for some reason dermatologists want to start you on other products once you get accustomed to Retin-A, and that second (or third) product always made my skin irritated. The Kate Somerville retinol product got rave reviews, so I'm hoping it will be a gentler version of the Retin-A that I can get without dealing with a dermatologist. Retinol is proven to work to reverse aging, unlike most other skin care ingredients.
