It's almost here... February 14!

Valentinesdaytree

No, I'm not that excited about Valentine's Day -- it's a nice enough holiday, but we don't have huge plans, just a nice dinner at home.

I'm excited about February 14 because it will mean we have made it halfway through this horrible month.  And there are rumors of a thaw of sorts coming next week -- at this point, any temperature above 20 would be fine with me.  This snow and cold has me feeling very down.

I'm also teaching two four-hour evening classes a week through the end of the month, and it is really wearing me out.  That ends in March.  I can't wait. I have made no progress on my goals this month -- it is just hard with never being able to be at home, and being cold and tired all the time.  I'm struggling just to maintain at this point.

  1. I don't know how you survive such harsh winters! Ours are pretty mild and I'm fed up as it is. Hope Spring comes soon for you! :)

    1. I guess I have no choice! This winter is the worst in this area since the Blizzard of '78, when I was a little kid and thought snow and blizzards were fun, fun, fun. Now I am the one doing the shoveling and it's not so fun.

There are two bright spots that help me get through: My new car has heated seats and I have been able to park in the garage all winter. My old car was too big to fit in our tiny garage easily and so my husband was able to claim it until now. Not having to scrape ice off my windshield is like a miracle.
