A weird feeling

Gwynnie Bee (affiliate link, if this is your first time reading my blog and you don't know what GB is, you can read my earlier posts here) encourages subscribers to post pictures of themselves in their clothes, which I have done when I had an outfit I like. I posted the above picture and it got picked up this week in the "Members as Models" section of the blog and on Facebook.  I tagged myself in the Facebook picture, and suddenly dozens of my family and friends were "liking" my photo or commenting on it.

It's a little bit of a weird feeling. I still have a hard time getting over the "don't call attention to yourself" rule. Also, I know that some people will think I'm a loony to use a subscription for my clothes instead of just buying them like a normal person.

It's a weird feeling, but I will get used to it.

  1. I think it's awesome to use a subscription for your clothes!

    1. It is pretty awesome, especially since they take care of the cleaning.

  2. I saw your pic (I'm on their mailing list and like to look at the pictures people send in). I thought each person submitted to have them posted, so when I saw you, I thought you had asked it be included. I can imagine it WAS a very weird feeling since you didn't know.

Don't let anyone make you feel weird about rental. Just tell them it is a great service. Truly it is like being able to take clothes home from Macy's and wear for a couple weeks before deciding if you want them. And only buying the truly special ones and just borrowing the rest.

    1. I knew it was possible when I tweeted the photos. And if I hadn't tagged the photo in Facebook as me, people probably wouldn't have seen it. I was just surprised by the response.

I am not used to getting a lot of attention for my appearance. But the dress was very flattering, and that's the whole point of doing this service. I think the reason my clothes were so boring is that I don't invest in a wardrobe. Once I settle in at a size I want to stay, that is going to change.

    Schools already closed for tomorrow.

    Husband has already shoveled once.

    1. Jesse is going to shovel since I have to go in today. I am working on my review of the finale now.
