I don't know your ex, but I know what all about wanting to be with an ex so bad that you can taste it. Mine will probably never call me again, so fierce was my anger after our break up (see my blog for details), but I still long for his touch, smell, and voice. When I was crying into my Pinot about this the other night, my cousin asked me if, after I had gone to the gym or went riding, if I took a shower and then put my dirty clothes back on. I gave her a strange look, and said "no, of course not." She smiled and said, so then why would you get back with an ex after you've broken up and gone through the healing process.
Hmm... I got the reference (and Aurora, I'm sending you a big squooshy hug) but that slogan, "It's a New Day" made me bristle. You summed it up well with the phrase "It will be different this time".

ReplyDeleteJust some food for thought.
My "ex" in this case was Weight Watchers. Maybe I was trying to be too clever here?
