I was thinking I'd finally get my 5-pound star this week. Instead of losing 0.8, though, I gained it. Crap. At this rate it will take me as long to lose 20 pounds as it takes some people to lose 100. Our leader does these mini-challenges that last 6 or 7 weeks. I found out today that there are people at my meeting who lost 18 pounds in the last 7 weeks. I lost 2.6. There was a woman who looked about my size who had lost 10.
I do think the biggest problem is a failure to commit fully to the process, though. If I go over my points, I think, "what the heck, it's not that bad." What I really need to do is start planning meals out in advance.
Anyway, no whining. I made my choices last week and this is how it turned out. At least I have "The Biggest Loser" tonight to look forward to.
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I'm in a similar situation. I've been ready to lose those last few (ok 12.5) pounds for a long time, but the lifestyle change is coming slowly. At least its still a work in progress... Congratulations for sticking with it. I used to love those stickers...
Welcome to my world.
ReplyDeleteI've lost about 5lbs in the last YEAR. Don't stress it, you're learning the lessons to keep it off forever.
ReplyDeleteIt's also not a race! You won't die tomorrow, and have plenty of time to reach your goals.
You're doing amazing and it sounds like you know exactly what you need to do to tweek it. Planning my meals in advance is literally the ONLY way I can stay 100% on track.
